As the weather warms and the sun makes more and more appearances, the Portland Outdoor Explorers are looking forward to spending more time outdoors than indoors.
We ask that parents and guardians equip their students with weather appropriate gear and layers to ensure every student can play safely. As we like to say:

3/3/25
Portland Public Schools close their doors for a teacher development day! Portland Outdoor Explorers will be holding an all-day camp at Rose City Park from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Participants will receive an additional email with details on what to expect and how to best prepare for a day of fun, fun, fun in the great outdoors!
3/14/25
We’ll celebrate National Pi Day with a different kind of pie, with students having the option for 3.14% of seasonal flavored pies!
Dietary restrictions will be taken into account while we picnic together under the sun.
3/15/25
On March 15th, we’ll be celebrating our 3rd Annual Fundraiser with coffee and tea from local growers and roasters, along with donuts from Coco Donuts and a pancake and waffle bar! In addition to timeless summertime crafts, a stamp rally, exciting silent auction items including gift certificates to Cully Music, Beau Regardless Alterations, Everybody’s Bodywork, Puddletown Games, and more!

3/21/25
Every 3rd Friday of the month, we host our ever-exciting Guardians’ Night Off where parents and guardians can drop their students off at Rose City Park United Methodist Church for an evening of movies, pizza, snacks, and fun.
This event runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Stuffies, pajamas, blankets, and pillows are all welcome!
We’ll be watching the animated classic Ferngully!

3/24/15 – 3/28/25
SPRING BREAK
We’ll be meeting in Rose City Park from 8:30am to 5:30pm every day during the last week in March for the much anticipated spring break! We’ll be fighting with foam swords, learning about spring and the seasons, playing D&D, going on hikes, pressing flowers or weaving them into crowns, and more! Register bellow to join us.
