It’s not too late to register your child(ren) for our November after-school programs! Just click the link below to register for the days you need.

With our new registration system, it’s easier than ever to customize your scheduling needs with P.O.E.

As a predominantly outdoor program, we strive to get out and play, learn, and explore as much as possible. In order to do this, we need the right gear to keep our bodies safe.

We ask that parents and guardians equip their young adventurers with the required gear listed below.

* Weather-appropriate layers (long pants, long sleeves, closed-toed and closed-heel shoes)
* A rain/water-proof layer (rain coat and boots)
* A change of clothes
* A refillable water bottle
* Snacks

As sunset occurs earlier and earlier, we are planning to move inside partway through program to make certain all our explorers are safe and in a warm, well-lit environment. Going forward, please assume pick-up will be at our indoor location at Rose City Park United Methodist Church.

While we will be spending part of our program time indoors, we ask that students still come with the necessary outdoor gear for the time we will be outside.

Tuesday, November 11th is a no-school day for Portland Public Schoolers in observation of Veteran’s Day. Portland Outdoor Explorers will be hosting a full day of camp on this day.

Camp will run from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

For safety, we ask that explorers be dropped off no earlier than 8:30am. If, for any reason, you need to he able to drop your explorer(s) off earlier than this, please email us 1-2 days before the event to arrange for an earlier drop off. Friday, November 21st is our next Guardians’ Night Off! We’re doing things a little differently this month. Rather than a movie, we’re going to be playing board and card games together! Explorers are encouraged to bring their favorite multi-player board game, or card game, and their favorite snack in shareable portions.

We’ll still be dining on pizza and bubbly water.

As always, pillows, PJs, stuffies, and blankets are welcome!

November 24th through 28th are no school days for Portland Public Schoolers in observation of Thanksgiving week.

Portland Outdoor Explorers is thrilled to be offering nearly a full week of camp during this time.



PLEASE NOTE: Portland Outdoor Explorers will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 27th.



For all other days of that week, camp will run from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

As always, we ask that explorers arrive no earlier than 8:30am for safety reasons. If you need to drop off earlier than 8:30am, please email us at info@pdxoutdoorexplorers.com 1-2 days beforehand so we can make arrangements.
