If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for our December programs, it’s not too late! Click the button below to see our December schedule and book the days that work best for your schedule!

As we enter into one of the coldest months of the year, we will be spending more time indoors, however, it is always our preference to remain outside as long as it is safe to do so. Therefore, we ask that adults equip their explorers with weather-appropriate layers to keep them safe and warm while playing outside.
Remember, there is no bad weather, only bad clothes.

While most items are optional, please refer to our required gear list for non-optional items:

1) a backpack
2) a refillable water bottle
3) close-toed and close-heeled shoes
4) weather-appropriate layers
5) a change of clothes
6) snacks (these kids are HUNGRY!)

Upcoming Events

Wednesday, December 10th is an Early Release Day for Portland Public Schools. POE will run from 11:50am—6:00pm.
There are no special steps to signing up for the early release day; simply register as normal.

Friday, December 19th is our next Guardian’s Night Off! This event will run from 6:00pm—9:00pm at Rose City Park United Methodist Church.
We’ll be watching the movie Klaus and providing dinner, cookies, and a hot cocoa bar. Stuffies, blankets, pillows, and pajamas are welcome as always. Please email us at info@pdxoutdoorexplorers with any dietary restrictions.

We are accepting donations for cake boxes to pass on to local food charities! We’re looking for:
*boxed cake mix
*a pint of frosting
*a can of soda
*a pack of birthday candles

The end of December comes with a long Winter Break, which we’re all looking forward to!
Winter Break will run from December 22nd to December 31st. POE will be running our all day camps throughout the week from 8:30am—5:30pm.

PLEASE NOTE:
Portland Outdoor Explorers will be CLOSED on December 24th and 25th.

We will be starting our days in our indoor space at Rose City Park United Methodist Church. Please join us at the bottom of the ramp along 57th Ave.
