“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.” —Jenny Han

Oregon weather likes to keep us on our toes. POE needs your explorer(s) to be prepared with the proper gear in order to provide a safe and fun experience for them each and every day. Remember…

We still ask that you equip your explorer(s) with weather-appropriate layers, and that all explorers have their own sunscreen. Optional sun-proof gear, such as hats and sunglasses, are encouraged! POE also offers tubes of sunscreen that your explorer can use for $5.00 USD, accepted via Venmo, cash, or charging the card registered for your explorer’s account (after conformation).
As with all our no-school day camps, we ask that all explorers come equipped with the following required gear:
- a backpack
- a hearty lunch
- snacks
- extra snacks
- a refillable water bottle
- weather-appropriate layers
- a change of clothes (just in case)
- shoes with closed toes and heels

FIELD TRIPS ARE BACK!
After a brief and unfortunate hiatus, we’re ecstatic to say that we’re once again able to provide field trips to other local parks and libraries.
These field trips will be taking place on Wednesdays throughout the rest of the summer as a mid-week treat.
If you are not comfortable with your explorer traveling with us, we ask that, if possible, you register for days other than Wednesdays. As in D&D, we never split the party, and therefore would never want to leave your explorer behind while others are away on a field trip. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@pdxoutdoorexplorers.com with the subject line Field Trip Question, and we will be happy to help.
Our weekly Sunday email will have the details of our upcoming trip for the week ahead, including the address and any planned activities for that day. This will DEFINITELY be a day to bring a backpack!
Upcoming Events
